One lucky Origin Of Trails MTB Experience rider will take home an awesome Specialized Stumpjumper FSR ST to the value of R30 000 the weekend of Saturday, 24 and Sunday, 25 November 2018 compliments of the event’s bicycle partner.
“The Origin of Trails MTB Experience is a great way of showcasing what Stellenbosch has to offer in terms of the trails and the beautiful landscapes,” says Kate Whitehead, Marketing Coordinator at Specialized Bicycles Africa. “As it is a 2-day event, riders and spectators are encouraged to stick around and take in all that Stellenbosch has to offer. The fact that the event encourages riders to enjoy the experience as opposed to racing definitely levels the playing field and lifts the pressure, so the high stress levels can be replaced with high ‘stoke’ levels instead.”
“This year we are especially excited to see how the inclusion of the Specialized Turbo E-bike category will be received by riders,” continues Whitehead. “With the rise of the category globally it was only a matter of time before races incorporated it locally. We look forward to seeing this category grow in the future. We are also excited to be running a competition where one rider will take home a Specialized Stumpjumper FSR ST to the value of R30 000. The competition will take place on Day 1. We will post a riddle to social media. If correctly solved, riders will know where to take a photograph on route during Day 1. These photographs need to be shared to Instagram. Don’t forget to tag @specializedza. The winner will be announced during prize giving after Day Two.”
“Specialized values our junior mountain bikers and for that reason we will also have a fun Specialized Kids Zone in the Festival Village over both days,” confirms Whitehead. “There will be a mini track with bikes, helmets and obstacles. The junior mountain bikers are in for a treat.”
