Fedhealth MTB Challenge entries close on Friday

Entries for the 4th annual Fedhealth MTB Challenge (taking place at Boschendal Farm Estate, The Retreat on Saturday, 15 and Sunday, 16 September 2018) will close this coming Friday, 07 September 2018.

Highlighting the magnificent trails of Boschendal and the Banhoek Conservancy, the 2018 Fedhealth MTB Challenge boasts a:  Kids Race, 15km Fun Ride, +-30km Half Marathon and +-60km Marathon.

“We’re excited to kick off the 2018 Fedhealth MTB Challenge with the action packed Fedhealth Kids MTB Events,” says Michael Meyer, Managing Director Stillwater Sports.  “The perfect start to a weekend filled with MTB action, the Fedhealth Kids MTB Events boast three entry options:  a 500m, 1.5km and 5km adventure.   Junior mountain bikers aged 0 – 13 are in for a treat.  On Sunday, the more senior riders will get to experience the magnificent MTB trails on offer at the Boschendal Farm Estate and surrounds. All three events (Marathon, Half Marathon and Fun Ride) will boast spectacular MTB Trails and magnificent views.” 

This year, two lucky riders will take home a whopping R10 000 gift voucher (each) compliments of Specialized Bicycles Africa, a proud partner of the 2018 event.

“We are proud to partner with the Fedhealth MTB Challenge in 2018.The event is a healthy balance of challenging and rewarding riding, and it caters to a diverse range of riders.  On event day riders can expect to have all of their last minute technical niggles seen to by Specialized Stellenbosch, who will also be out on the course offering technical support at one of the water points,” says Kate Whitehead, Marketing Coordinator at Specialized Bicycles Africa.

The Specialized Lucky Draw will take place during prize giving on Sunday, 16 September 2018.  To qualify for the prize, contestants need to have taken part in the 2018 Fedhealth MTB Challenge and they need to be present during prize giving to collect their prize.  The Fedhealth MTB Challenge, in association with Specialized Bicycles Africa, will also boast a Turbo E-bike category.  Please Note:  This category will start in its own batch, but will not feature prize money.

FREE ENTRY: Fedhealth members can enter free of charge – simply by typing in their membership number when entering online!

The first 1000 cyclists to enter (and pay the entry fee) will receive an official event t-shirt.

Once across the finish line, all mountain bikers will be treated to a foot massage in the Falke Foot Zone.  The Festival Village will be a hub of excitement.  Enjoy a Flying Fish beer with a mouth-watering meal while listening to a live performance by Newton & Co.
