A gang of seven suspects stormed a supermarket on Alexandra Avenue in Isipingo CBD on the evening of 14 July 2017.

The Alpha Alarms Control Room received a panic activation and Alpha Response Units were immediately dispatched to the premises.

Seven suspects brandishing firearms burst into the store around closing time and demanded for cash and cellphones. The owners and staff were threatened at gunpoint.

The suspects damaged the owner’s bakkie window as they fled on foot with 7 cellphones and an undisclosed amount of cash.

Alpha Response Units searched for the suspects but no arrests were made.
