The Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offence Unit is asking the community to assist with the identification of a person of interest in a rape case.
It is alleged that on a Saturday 5 October 2019, at approximately 20:00 a 28 year old woman from Walmer was on her way to visit her boyfriend in Walmer area. As she was walking two men past her and shortly after they past her she was struck from behind with an unknown object.
She blacked out and when she regained consciousness she was raped by three unknown men. The suspects fled and the woman went to a house in the area asking for help.
The Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offence Unit is seeking the assistance from the community in identifying a man that could assist the investigating officer with his investigation.
