Farmers wife shot, raped in front of 'wire tied' children, Hackney

During an attack at Heuningkloof farm in Hackney in the Eastern Cape on Friday evening 23 March 2018, a woman (44) was shot in the lower back and also raped infront of her young children.

The children were tied up with wire after which the attacker raped the mom.The attacker screamed that he was going to slaughter them as he had been fired by her husband. Members of the local community however are shocked by the incident and have no knowledge of any such firing of any workers.

In a courageous attempt to protect the children the bleeding woman suggested that she drive to a local bank where the attacker could withdraw money from her credit card at an ATM. It was during this that the woman managed to escape and drive off. She arrived back at the farm to her distraught children.

Her husband was away at the time, the mom and children were watching tv when the assailant stormed in on them from the sliding door firing shots. He shattered the glass sliding door by firing shots at it.

The police are investigating, however Ian Cameron of Afriforum has in the interim said that a suspect has been arrested.
