Approximately 19 people were injured after a taxi and a vehicle collided on Helpmekaar road in Ladysmith this morning.<\/p>\n

At about 08h30, ER24 paramedics arrived at the scene and found that a person was ejected from the taxi. Another patient was still entrapped in the taxi and was later extricated by ER24 and provincial emergency services personnel.<\/p>\n

Approximately 15 patients sustained moderate to serious injuries in the collision. Four more people were in a critical condition and they were transported to a nearby hospital for further medical care by ER24 and other emergency services on scene.<\/p>\n

The exact circumstances surrounding the incident were not yet known to our paramedics but local authorities were on the scene for investigations.<\/p>\n
