Mi7 paramedics, with the help of community members, freed a driver trapped in the wreckage of a multi-vehicle collision in Hammarsdale this morning.<\/p>\n

At around 7am, Mi7 Emergency Medical Services received reports of the accident near a mall. Multiple Mi7 units were dispatched, including an ambulance based at Hibiscus Cato Ridge Hospital and the Rapid Response EMS vehicle sponsored by BMW Pietermaritzburg, part of the Supertech Group. <\/p>\n

Medics found that three vehicles had been involved in the collision, leaving the driver of one vehicle trapped inside the wreckage. Mi7 paramedics, assisted by members of the community, successfully extricated the patient. The driver required Advanced Life Support interventions and was stabilised at the scene before being transported by Mi7 EMS to a nearby hospital for further treatment.<\/p>\n

The drivers of the other two vehicles sustained minor injuries but did not require transportation to hospital.<\/p>\n
