Nine scholar transport vehicles including two midi buses, six mini buses, and one Avanza were impounded by the team. A further 18 mini buses and four e-hailing vehicles were impounded for operating contrary to the conditions of the Act.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, the Overloading Control Unit (OCTU) weighbridges in Akasia and Centurion tested and weighed thirty-three (33) vehicles, finding six overloaded at the Akasia weighbridge and four at the Centurion weighbridge. A total of six warnings were also issued.<\/p>\n<p>TMPD is committed to its mandate of safeguarding the lives of Tshwane residents.
