One (1) person was killed and several others sustained serious injuries following a head-on collision on Oakford Road in Oakford – KZN this morning (Saturday, 16\/05\/2026).<\/p>\n

Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) received a call from a member of the public requesting urgent assistance after the collision was reported at approximately 04:33.<\/p>\n

On arrival, Reaction Officers found a white VW Polo and a white Nissan 1400 that had been involved in a head-on collision. The driver of the VW Polo informed Officers that he had been travelling towards Redcliffe – KZN when the Nissan 1400, travelling in the opposite direction, collided into the front right side of his vehicle.<\/p>\n

The impact caused the Nissan 1400 to lose control and plunge down an embankment into dense bushes. The bakkie was extensively damaged during the crash.<\/p>\n

The VW Polo was occupied by one (1) male driver who was travelling alone. The Nissan 1400 was transporting six (6) occupants comprising five (5) males and one (1) female….<\/p>\n
