Motorists and businesses will enjoy a welcome reprieve at the pumps this month following some mixed movements in fuel last month. As of 00h01 on Wednesday, 5 November 2025 (midnight Tuesday, 4 November 2025) the Department of Mineral & Petroleum Resources (DMPR) has announced fuel price decreases across the board.<\/p>\n

According to Lebo Ramolahloane, National Vice Chairperson of the South African Petroleum Retailers Association (SAPRA), a proud association of the Retail Motor Industry Organisation (RMI), the timing of the decreases is especially positive.<\/p>\n

“As we approach the festive season and motorists begin planning their December trips, the fuel price cuts will bring welcome relief. Lower fuel costs are also encouraging news for commuters relying on public transport and for businesses across transport, agriculture, and logistics that are managing tight margins,” says Ramolahloane.<\/p>\n
