Footage circulated on social media also shows a man using a pickaxe to dig into the surface of the road.<\/p>\n<p>Due to the protest, traffic was diverted to alternative routes as law enforcement worked to manage the situation. The residents are reportedly blaming motorists for the incidents involving children and are calling for speed humps to be installed along Stonebridge Drive to reduce vehicle speeds and improve pedestrian safety.<\/p>\n<p>Metro Police were eventually able to clear the scene, and the roadway has since been reopened.<\/p>\n<p>This incident highlights the urgent need for road safety education, particularly for young children.
