A lot of people from across the globe visit this beautiful country for all it has to offer. Along with the scenic beauty and other attractions in the city, it is also well-known as a gambling hub. There is a lot of confusion around the legality of the laws surrounding <a href=\"https:\/\/asia-online-casino.com\/casinos-in-thailand\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">gambling in Thailand<\/a>. Although, with an in-depth knowledge of casinos and gambling laws, it can prove to be a safe activity. The legality can make it a dangerous act for the tourists, and thus, it is not advisable to indulge in the act for the tourists visiting the mainland for short periods. Gambling is guarded by a host of legal actions, which one should equip themselves with.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Gambling laws in Thailand<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Here in Thailand, Gambling is allowed legally only in two forms. This is the sponsored National lottery on <a href=\"https:\/\/lottoasian.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">LottoAsian<\/a> and the horse races that are permissible for sports betting. The National Lottery is rolled out and drawn twice every month, the dates being 1st and 16th of the month. The Government Lottery Office administers this draw to ensure that it is played in all fairness. The Royal Bangkok Sports Club and Royal Turf Club of Thailand are the two clubs in Bangkok where one can start with safe horse race betting.<\/p>\n<p>Land casinos are banned in Thailand. The act of gambling in all is prohibited and can be illegal if someone indulges in the same. Approximately 95% of Thai people follow Buddhism, and under this religion, gambling is considered a sin. However, you might still see a large part of the population indulged in gambling or may come across Casinos; let these scenarios not fool you, Casinos are strictly illegal and may land you in trouble if caught playing. Land-based Casinos in Thailand are not permissible under the Gambling Act of 1935. If a resident or a tourist is seen as being a part of any such gambling activity, the authorities can imprison them for a year or ask them to pay a fine of 1000 Baht. All the cash used during gambling may also be seized.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Can you be arrested for playing in a land-based casino?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The law of the land is very stringent when it comes to gambling. If one is caught gambling in casinos in Thailand or putting money on any activities except horse betting and the state lottery, they can be arrested and put behind bars. More than 1000 people have been arrested during the crackdown that leads to the 2014 World Cup. The Thai government has banned online or offline casinos. Even the local government does indulge in the act. Although the casinos are highly active in Thailand, not all the gamblers are caught and imprisoned. The illegal working of the casinos is thus patronized.<\/p>\n<p>The risks involved in betting in the casino are very high. There is a high chance of being caught, and the bookies withhold the gamblers&#8217; winnings. The players have to bear the brunt of the monetary loss as it is illegal, and the casino cannot be reported. The Thailand Civil and Commercial Code, section 853 and 855 stated that gambling debts are never acceptable.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How to play safely?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>There are a host of online casinos like <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gclub-grand.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">GClub<\/a> and others that ensure a safe, low-risk play, so there is no unwanted attention drawn towards them. However, it is wise not to indulge in the act of gambling to remain unnoticed in the eyes of the law.<\/p>\n<p>If one is very sure about gambling in Thailand and placing a bet in order to win, it is advised to gamble with a company that is overseas. The individual gamblers who operate online overseas usually do not come on the radar of police investigation. In order to play safe, the risk level has to be reduced. For that, it is important to know all the rules and regulations attached to every gambling game. Whether or not Thailand will revise its gambling laws in the near future is unclear.
