In this video by ‘Willem Petzer’ we see that on 25 January 2021, a woman and her husband were assaulted and arrested by the South African Police force in Darling, Western Cape, when buying milk for their daughter. The woman was forced to strip and her husband was manhandled, choked until he was unconscious and thrown into a holding cell. This violation happened outside of curfew hours and thus they were not in any violation of the regulations.
Their identities are known by both Willem Petzer and Dianne Kohler-Barnard who are investigating the case. The purpose of the video report is to seek justice for the couple.
