More than 73 killed and more than 100 injured when tanker carrying fuel exploded while a mob was trying to get fuel off the truck.

Tanker was en route to Malawi from the port of Beira when it overturned. Approx 2,000 kilometres from Maputo in Tete province.

Mozambique government has sent a team to investigate whether the fuel was being sold from the truck or whether it had been ambushed by local residents.

Mozambique is one of the world’s 10 poorest nations after Zimbabwe and “Democratic” Republic of Congo.

Fuel price was recently increased after the the local currency sunk against the dollar.

EFF supporters would do well to look and learn from the examples of Zimbabwe and Mozambique and PROPERLY understand what happens to a country where everything is “nationalized” then they should try to understand the crippling poverty caused when land is “expropriated” and government cannot control poverty.
