Vehicle set alight in Polokwane

A sedan, reportedly used by the Moletjie Taxi Association to patrol the taxi rank, has been set alight in a taxi violence incident.

Review spoke to Frans Kgasago, Mankweng Taxi Association Spokesperson, who labelled the situation as “poor hooliganism”.

Police are currently on the scene on the corner of De Wet and Munnik Avenue, and motorists are advised to use alternative routes in the meantime.

Other sources report that the taxi drivers chased a man opposite the Mall of the North and knifed the unknown victim. The victim was picked up by a unknown sedan.

The taxis then went to Munnik and De Wet
