This morning, a man in his 20s was killed and another injured when a bakkie and an SUV collided on the R23 in Dube.
ER24 and another service arrived at 05h27 to find the bakkie on its side near the SUV, both on the side of the road.
On closer inspection, medics found a man in his 20s lying inside the bakkie while three others were seated near the SUV.
Medics assessed the patients and found that the man in the bakkie had already succumbed to his numerous injuries. Nothing could be done for him, and he was declared dead. One person from the SUV had sustained minor injuries while the two others had escaped injury.
Medics treated the patient and transported him to a nearby hospital for further care.
Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations….
