Twelve people were left injured this morning when the taxi they were traveling in overturned on Houtkop Road in Vereeniging.
ER24 paramedics, along with the Provincial Services, arrived on the scene shortly after 08h00 to find the taxi lying on its side on the side of the road. Several passengers were found seated next to the vehicle.
Medics assessed the patients and found that all twelve had sustained minor to moderate injuries. Fortunately, no serious injuries or fatalities were found.
The patients were treated for their injuries and were thereafter transported to nearby hospitals for further care.
Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations….
