Taxi rollover leaves one dead, three injured in Carletonville

One man was killed and three others left injured this afternoon when the taxi they were travelling in rolled off the Deelkraal Road in Carletonville.

ER24 paramedics, along with the Provincial Services, arrived on the scene at 17h27 to find the taxi on its roof on the side of the road. A man, believed to be in his 30s, was found lying trapped beneath the vehicle while three other men were found nearby.

Medics assessed the patients and found that the man beneath the vehicle had already succumbed to his numerous injuries. Nothing could be done for him and he was declared dead by the Provincial Services.

The three other patients were assessed and found to have sustained minor to moderate injuries. The patients were treated and thereafter transported to Carletonville Provincial Hospital for further care.
