Taxi crashes into tree leaving five injured near the Rondlebult turnoff in Boksburg.


Five people were left injured this morning when a taxi crashed through the roadside barrier and crashed into a tree off the N12 near the Rondlebult turnoff in Boksburg.
ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene at 09h00 to find the taxi on the side of the road against a large tree. The passengers, that had been traveling in the taxi, were found walking around on the scene.
Paramedics assessed the patients and found that five had sustained minor to moderate injuries.
The patients were treated for their injuries and were thereafter transported to Sunshine Hospital for further care.
The driver of the taxi was found to have sustained minor injuries but declined treatment.
The cause of the collision is not yet known but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
