Taxi and vehicle collision leaves 15 injured on the M1

Fifteen people have sustained various injuries when they were involved in a taxi crash on the M1 Higginson Highway over the N2 Freeway just after 6:15 this morning.

Rescue Care Paramedics arrived on the scene to find chaos. A Taxi and a vehicle had collided in a T Bone format. Multiple commuters were injured and immediately more ambulances were called to assist. a Total of Fourteen people in the taxi and the driver in the vehicle had been injured. Once stabilised on the scene they were transported to various Durban Hospitals for the further care that they required. Traffic was severely affected as Paramedics worked to treat all the injured in the roadway.

At this stage, the events leading up to the collision are unknown however SAPS will be investigating further….
