Taxi and truck collide leaving twelve injured in Hemlock

Twelve people were left injured last night when a taxi and truck collided on the N4 in Hemlock, Mpumalanga.
ER24 medics, along with other services, arrived on the scene to find the truck and taxi on the one side of the road. Several passengers had already climbed out of the taxi and were found walking around on the scene.
On closer inspection, medics found a woman lying trapped inside the taxi. Machadodorp Fire Services had to use specialized rescue equipment to free the woman from the vehicle.
Once freed, medics found that twelve people had sustained minor to moderate injuries.
The patients were treated for their injuries and were thereafter transported to nearby hospitals for further care.
Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
