Taxi and car collide leaving seventeen injured in Daveyton

Seventeen people were left injured last night following a collision between a taxi and light motor vehicle on the Du Randt Road in Daveyton.
ER24 personnel, along with other services, arrived on the scene at 19h23 to find the taxi off into a field while the light motor vehicle was found in the middle of the road.  Several people were found walking around on the scene.
Medics assessed the patients and found that 17 people had sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate. Fortunately, no serious injuries or fatalities were found on the scene.
Once the patients had been treated, they were transported to nearby hospitals for further care.
Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
