Taxi and bakkie collide leaving twelve injured in Randfontein

Twelve people were left injured this afternoon following a collision between a bakkie and a taxi at the Fedler and 2nd Road intersection in Randfontein.

ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene shortly before 15h00 to find the taxi lying on its side on the side of the road. The bakkie was found in the middle of the intersection.

Paramedics assessed the patients and found that the male driver of the bakkie sustained severe injuries while eleven people from the taxi had sustained minor injuries.

Medics treated the patients and provided the seriously injured man with pain-relief medication before they were transported to a nearby hospital for further care.

Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations….
