Taxi and bakkie collide leaving fourteen injured in Bethlehem

Fourteen people were left injured this morning when a bakkie and taxi collided on Devilliers Road in Bethlehem in the Free State.

ER24 paramedics, along with other services, arrived on the scene at 07h29 to find the bakkie and taxi parked next to each other in the middle of the road. Several people were found walking around on the scene.

Medics assessed the patients and found that one patient was in a serious condition while thirteen others had sustained minor to moderate injuries. Fortunately, no fatalities were found on the scene.

Medics treated the patients and provided the seriously injured with pain-relief medication before they were transported to various hospitals for further care.

Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations….
