SAPS conducts Lockdown operations in the Vhembe District

The Station Commander of Musina SAPS, Colonel Mukwevho, today on Friday, 31 July 2020, paraded Visible Policing members, South African Defence Force (SANDF), Public Order Police (POPS) Unit, Makhado K9 Unit, National and Local Municipal Traffic Police at Musina Police Station.

Members were divided into groups in order to conduct parallel COVID-19 compliance operations in and around the Musina policing precinct through roadblocks and stop and searches.

These included patrolling at the CBD, taxi ranks, roadblocks conducted opposite China mall and Matswale Location.

Eight (8) traffic summons were issued including one for admission of guilt fine amounting to R3000.00 paid for employing illegal immigrants.

In conclusion, one suspect was arrested for selling liquor without a licence during lockdown period and exhibits valued at R10 000-00 confiscated during the arrest.
