RAF promotes road safety and customer centricity furing Transport Month

The Road Accident Fund (RAF), in partnership with the South African Tyre Manufacturers Conference (SATMC) and Eastern Cape provincial transport authorities, will raise awareness about tyre safety during a workshop in Gqeberhaon Thursday (28 October) at the Municipal Traffic Services Roadworthy Centre from 9 am. There will be a roadblock the next day, during which law enforcement will educate people about the key aspects of tyre safety while providing free tyre checks as part of October Transport Month.

These activities form part of the RAF’s efforts to educate motorists about the importance of road safety while showcasing the RAF’s transformation and focusing on customer-centricity. Other events have included raising awareness about the use of child restraint car seats when driving with newborn babies and infants. Bicycles and reflector jackets have also been handed over to schoolchildren to educate them about visibility when cycling.
