One killed, two moderately injured in single-vehicle rollover on the notorious N12

A woman believed to be in her 40s has died and a father and 4-year-old son have suffered moderate injuries in a single-vehicle rollover on the notorious N12 about 3km outside Fochville this afternoon.

ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene at 16:09 along with GPG, the Fire and Traffic Departments to find a Mitsubishi SUV on its side on the side of the road. The woman, who was a passenger and believed to be the wife/mother, was found on the ground, 5 meters from the vehicle. She, unfortunately, showed no signs of life and was declared dead on arrival by GPG.

The 4-year-old boy was found sitting next to the vehicle and the driver and father of the boy were found walking around on the scene. Both had suffered moderate injuries and were treated and transported to Carletonville Provincial Hospital for further care.

The exact cause of the incident is unknown to ER24, however, the South African Police Services were on the scene for further investigations.
