KwaZulu-Natal: At 16H10 Wednesday afternoon Netcare 911 responded to reports of a serious collision on North Coast Road in Briardene.
Reports from the scene indicate that a mini-bus taxi, tow truck, light motor vehicle and a light delivery vehicle were involved in a collision.
Multiple people mainly from the mini-bus taxi sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate.
The Ethekwini Fire and Rescue Services had to use the "Jaws of Life" to free some of the occupants.
All the patients were treated on scene and transported by various ambulance services to hospital for further treatment.
All necessary authorities were on scene to investigate.
