Minibus and car collide leaving 15 children injured in Florida

Fifteen children were left injured this morning when a minibus taxi and light motor vehicle collided on Nadine Road in Florida, west of Johannesburg.
ER24 paramedics, along with several other services, arrived on the scene at 06h58 to find the light motor vehicle on the side of the road. The minibus had come to stop next to the light motor vehicle in the road.
On closer inspection, medics found that 15 children, aged between 6 and 15, had sustained minor to moderate injuries. Fortunately, no serious injuries or fatalities were found on the scene.
The children were treated for their injuries and were thereafter transported to various hospitals for further care.
The driver of the light motor vehicle fortunately escaped injury.
Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
