Man struck by bus, left seriously injured in Claremont

A man, believed to be in his 50s, was left seriously injured this morning when he was struck by a bus at the Main and Ralph Road intersection in Claremont, Western Cape.
ER24 paramedics, along with Life Healthcare, arrived on the scene at 08h20 to find the Metro Services already in attendance.
On assessment, medics found that the man had sustained numerous injuries and was in a serious condition.
The man was treated for his injuries and provided with pain-relief medication before he was transported by Metro Services to Groote Schuur Hospital.
Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
