Midlands ems Howick Advanced life support ambulances were dispatched to the R617 just outside of Merrivale at around 07:55.
Upon arrival it was found one patient was in a critical condition and entrapped in the vehicle, the patient required urgent Advanced life support treatment before being extricated from the vehicle using Jaws of life.
A further 3 people sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate.
All patients were treated on scene before being transported to various hospitals.
The exact cause of the accident is under investigation by local authorities….
