Gauteng: Three injured in Centurion crash

Gauteng: At 15H44 Monday afternoon Netcare 911 responded to reports of a collision on Summit Road in Timsrand AH, Centurion.

Reports from the scene indicate that a mini-bus taxi and an SUV were involved in a collision.

Medics assessed the scene and found that the occupants of the SUV both adult females believed to be in their forties had sustained moderate injuries.

The driver of the mini-bus taxi and also the sole occupant on board, a 29-year-old male had sustained moderate injuries and was trapped in the wreckage.

The Netcare 911 Specialised Rescue Unit, as well as the Midrand Fire and Rescue Services, had to use hydraulic tools to free the man.

Once treated and stabilised all three patients were transported by various ambulance services to hospital for further treatment.

All necessary authorities were on the scene.
