A 59-year-old man suffered moderate injuries after he was run over by a minibus taxi on Ireland Street in the Verulam CBD this morning (Friday).
Members of the Reaction Unit, South Africa (RUSA) were called out to the scene by the public requesting assistance for the injured male.
On arrival, Medics treated the pedestrian for moderate injuries before transporting him to the hospital.
It was established that he was run over by a Toyota Hiace taxi while crossing the road to reach his place of employment when the accident occurred.
