Eight left injured after taxi and car collide in Pietermaritzburg

Eight people were left injured last night when a taxi and car collided at the Alex and Richie Road intersection in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu Natal.
ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene at 10h05 to find the taxi and light motor vehicle in the middle of the intersection. The passengers had already climbed out of the vehicle.
Paramedics assessed the patients and found that eight people had sustained minor to moderate injuries. Fortunately, no serious injuries or fatalities were found on the scene.
The patients were treated for their injuries and were thereafter transported to nearby provincial hospitals for further treatment.
Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
