Dozens injured in road crash on the M4 Durban Bound before Argyle Road

Multiple people have been injured after a multiple-vehicle collision on the M4 Durban Bound before Argyle Road just after 5pm on Tuesday afternoon.

Rescue Care Paramedics arrived on the scene to find a taxi and Four vehicles had collided. The vehicles were badly damaged and scattered all over the freeway. Multiple patients were found injured and immediately more ambulances were dispatched to the scene to assist. approximately twenty people had sustained injuries ranging from minor to serious and once stabilised on the scene they were transported to various Durban Hospitals for the further care that they required. Traffic was severely affected as only one lane of traffic trickled past the accident scene whilst emergency personal worked to clear the scene.

At this stage the events leading up to the crash is unknown however SAPS were on the scene and will be investigating.
