Car t-bones taxi leaving fourteen injured, Randfontein

Fourteen people were left injured this morning when a light motor vehicle crashed into a taxi on Randfontein Road in Randfontein, west of Johannesburg.

ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene at approximately 06h10, finding the taxi parked against the pavement while the light motor vehicle had come to a stop in the middle of the road. Several occupants had already climbed out of the taxi and were found walking around on the scene.

Paramedics assessed the patients and found that fourteen had sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate. Fortunately, no serious or fatal injuries were reported on the scene.

The patients were treated for their injuries and were thereafter transported to Laratong Provincial and Lenmed Hospital for further care.

The details surrounding this incident are not yet known but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
