Five people were left injured yesterday afternoon when a bus crashed into a transformer on De Villiers Street in Middelburg, Mpumalanga.
ER24 personnel arrived on the scene to find another service already in attendance. A small bus was found parked on the side of the road. The passengers had already climbed out of the vehicle.
Medics assessed the patients and found that five people had sustained minor to moderate injuries. Fortunately, no serious injuries or fatalities were found on the scene.
The patients were treated for their injuries and were thereafter transported to a nearby private hospital for further care.
Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
