Bus and truck collide head-on leaving at least 38 injured in Paarl

At least 38 people were left injured last night when a truck and bus collided head-on on Jan Van Riebeek Road in Paarl in the Western Cape.
ER24 paramedics, Western Cape Ambulance and Life Healthcare, came across the incident at roughly 20h00, finding the two vehicles in the middle of the road. Several people were found in the two vehicles.
Medics assessed the patients and found that at least 38 people had sustained minor to serious injuries. Fortunately, no fatalities were found on the scene.
The patients were treated for their injuries and thereafter transported by various services to nearby hospitals.
The details surrounding this incident are not yet known but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
