A 7-year-old boy was killed this morning when he was struck by a bus at the Claredon and Birmingham Road intersection in Actonville.
ER24 personnel arrived on the scene shortly after 08h00 to find the boy of the young boy lying in the middle of the road. The bus that had struck the boy was parked just a short distance away.
Medics quickly assessed the boy and found that he had sustained numerous injuries and showed no signs of life. Unfortunately, nothing could be done for him and he was declared dead.
Fortunately, no-one from the bus sustained any injuries.
Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
