Major crash occurred on Sunday 17 August 2019 at 13:10 on the N1 North at the Maxwell Drive bridge between Allandale and Buccleauh Drives, Midrand Gauteng. 1x Toyota Quantum Minibus involved in a crash with the concrete centre barrier. It is alleged that the Quantum was travelling north when the driver lost control for an unknown reason crashing into the concrete barrier twice. In the process, the spare wheel of the Minibus crashed into a VW Polo.
9 Persons were killed and 4 injured in the crash. RTMC Crash Unit on the scene with JMPD Accident Unit processing the crash.
