21 injured in Pinetown Crash

Twenty One people mostly children have been injured in a three vehicle collision on Sander Road in New Germany Pinetown just before 7am this morning.

Rescue Care Paramedics arrived on the scene to find that three vehicles had collided in a rear end collision. A taxi carrying eighteen school children of primary school age had ploughed into two vehicles. Immediately more ambulances were dispatched to assist with the multiple casualty scene. A total of twenty one patients had sustained various injuries and were treated on scene before being transported to various Durban Hospitals for the further care that they required.

At this stage the events leading up to the crash are unknown however SAPS were on the scene and will be investigating further.
