16 Injured in Marianhill taxi crash

Sixteen people have been injured including five children on Sunday morning in Marianhill area after the taxi they were in crashed and overturned multiple times.

Rescue Care Paramedics arrived on the scene in Umhlatazama Road in Marianhill just after 08:30am on Sunday morning to find the badly damaged taxi down an embankment in a residents garden. A total of sixteen people had sustained various injuries and immediately more ambulances were dispatched to assist. Once all the injured had been stabilised by Advanced Life Support Paramedics they were transported to various Durban Hospitals for the further care that they required.

At this stage the events leading up to the single vehicle crash is unknown however SAPS were on the scene and will be investigating further
