12 injured in a taxi crash in Sydenham

Twelve people including eleven children have been injured after the Taxi they were in somehow lost control and rolled on Mallinson Road in the Sydenham area around 7am this morning.

Rescue Care Paramedics arrived on the scene to find the taxi was back on its wheels. The driver had sustained moderate injuries and the eleven children had sustained slight injuries. Once all of the injured were stabilised on the scene they were transported to various Durban Hospitals for the further care that they required. The children were aged between Seven years old and Fourteen years old.

At this stage the events leading up to the collision are unknown however SAPS were on the scene and will be investigating further.
