Two (2) men sustained critical injuries after a white Big Boy motorcycle collided with a bakkie at the intersection of JG Champion Drive and the R102 in Phoenix – KZN this afternoon (Monday, 08/06/2026).
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were dispatched to the scene at approximately 15:45 following reports of a collision involving a motorcycle and a bakkie.
On arrival, Reaction Officers found that a motorcycle had collided with the side of an Isuzu bakkie at the intersection. The South African Police Service (SAPS) and Metro Police were in attendance.
According to a witness, two (2) individuals were travelling on the motorcycle when the rider allegedly applied brakes suddenly before crashing into the bakkie while attempting to proceed through the intersection.
The two (2) were seriously injured….
