A motorist sustained minor injuries after his vehicle overturned on the R102 near King Shaka International Airport – KZN this afternoon (Monday, 08/06/2026).
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were called out to the scene after receiving reports of a vehicle that had overturned in the northbound carriageway.
On arrival, Reaction Officers found a grey Volkswagen Polo lying on its roof in the centre median. The 40 year old driver was interviewed at the scene.
The motorist informed First Responders that he was travelling northbound towards King Shaka International Airport to collect his wife when he lost control of the vehicle. The VW Polo overturned before coming to rest on its roof. The driver sustained minor injuries to his hand but declined medical treatment.
