A security guard in his twenties is in a serious condition after being shot allegedly during the night and dumped in a cemetery near Molweni West of Durban.
Rescue Care Paramedics arrived on the scene just before 1pm to find the seriously injured guard down the bank. He had sustained a gunshot wound to his upper body and was in a serious condition.
Advanced Life Support Paramedics worked to stabilise him down the bank before carrying the man to an awaiting ambulance.
Due to the location Paramedics were in and the injuries sustained it was decided to call in the IPSS Black Eagle Aeromedical Helicopter to fly the patient to a specialist facility for the urgent care he required.
Apparently the man was attacked last night and left in the cemetery, today his colleagues found the man and called for help.
At this stage the events leading up to the shooting are unknown however SAPS were on scene and will be investigating further.
