{"id":92379,"date":"2022-10-02T04:30:23","date_gmt":"2022-10-02T02:30:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/southafricatoday.net\/africa-news\/southern-africa\/angola\/basketball-africa-league-new-fortress-energy-and-otchiva-expand-threes-for-trees-campaign-to-angola\/"},"modified":"2022-10-02T04:30:24","modified_gmt":"2022-10-02T02:30:24","slug":"basketball-africa-league-new-fortress-energy-and-otchiva-expand-threes-for-trees-campaign-to-angola","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/southafricatoday.net\/africa-news\/southern-africa\/angola\/basketball-africa-league-new-fortress-energy-and-otchiva-expand-threes-for-trees-campaign-to-angola\/","title":{"rendered":"Basketball Africa League, New Fortress Energy and Otchiva Expand \u201cThrees For Trees\u201d Campaign to Angola"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div class=\"video_wrap\"><\/div>\n<p><strong><em>Petro de Luanda Participates in Campaign to Plant 6,000 Trees in Angola; <\/em><\/strong><strong><em>Petro de Luanda Led the BAL in Three-Pointers Made During 2022 Season,\u00a0Resulting in Angola Being Selected for Threes for Trees.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>The Basketball Africa League (BAL) in collaboration with New Fortress Energy (NFE) and Otchiva, an environmental organization focusing on land restoration throughout Angola, today announced that they will plant 6,000 trees in Angola as part of the BAL\u2019s \u201cThrees for Trees\u201d campaign and BAL Green, the league\u2019s environmental initiative that leverages the collective platform of the BAL, its teams, players and fans to advocate for greater environmental responsibility, make a positive impact on people\u2019s lives, and help develop the next generation of environmentally conscious leaders.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>To commemorate the expansion of Threes for Trees to Angola, earlier today Petro de Luanda players Carlos Morais, Lukeny Gerson, Childe Dundao and Jone Pedro joined head coach Jose Neto and 100 community volunteers for a tree planting ceremony in Luanda.
