{"id":86595,"date":"2022-05-25T05:00:07","date_gmt":"2022-05-25T03:00:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/southafricatoday.net\/africa-news\/west-africa\/cameroon\/binance-is-a-fully-regulated-digital-asset-service-provider-in-france-just-after-receiving-licenses-in-dubai-and-bahrain\/"},"modified":"2022-05-25T05:00:07","modified_gmt":"2022-05-25T03:00:07","slug":"binance-is-a-fully-regulated-digital-asset-service-provider-in-france-just-after-receiving-licenses-in-dubai-and-bahrain","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/southafricatoday.net\/africa-news\/west-africa\/cameroon\/binance-is-a-fully-regulated-digital-asset-service-provider-in-france-just-after-receiving-licenses-in-dubai-and-bahrain\/","title":{"rendered":"Binance is a Fully Regulated Digital Asset Service Provider in France, Just After Receiving Licenses in Dubai and Bahrain"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div class=\"image_wrap\"><\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Binance (<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.Binance.com\" rel=\"noopener\">www.Binance.com<\/a>), the world\u2019s largest crypto and blockchain infrastructure provider, earlier announced that Binance France SAS has been granted a Digital Asset Service Provider (DASP) registration to operate in France by Autorit\u00e9 des march\u00e9s financiers (AMF) which regulates the French financial markets, with the approval of the Autorit\u00e9 de Contr\u00f4le Prudentiel et de R\u00e9solution (ACPR), the authority responsible for supervising the banking and insurance sectors in France, especially AML Regulations.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>The landmark achievement for Binance represents its first DASP registration in the European Union and demonstrates its commitment to being a compliance-first exchange.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>The registration allows Binance France SAS to operate as a DASP in France and provides regulatory protection for local users with regards to the implementation of French AML\/CFT and customer identification requirements.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>This came just after Binance received licenses to be a crypto service provider in Dubai and Bahrain, a key milestone for the world\u2019s largest digital-asset exchange as it set up the stage for a major push in the Middle East.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>According to Binance, compliance and regulation are critical to the development and maturation of the crypto and blockchain industry.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>Changpeng Zhao (CZ), Founder and CEO of Binance said: \u201cEffective regulation is essential for the mainstream adoption of cryptocurrency. The French DASP and AML\/CFT regulations put in place stringent anti-money laundering and fit and proper requirements to meet the high standards necessary to be regulated in France.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>CZ added: \u201cWe are grateful to the AMF and ACPR who both demonstrated a commitment to innovation that made it possible for Binance to navigate the entire application process. Since day one, Binance has always put its users first, and now the crypto community can have even further confidence in Binance France as a trusted DASP registered in France.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>David Princay, CEO Binance France, said: \u201cThe registration of Binance France as a DASP is a key milestone for crypto in Europe. In particular, the new levels of protection for AML will help grow crypto adoption in France and Europe.
