Puot Kang Chol, will participate as a Keynote Speaker at the fifth edition of the South Sudan Oil &amp; Power (SSOP) conference in Juba, taking place on September 13-14, 2022.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>In partnership with the Ministry of Petroleum, Ministry of Energy and Dams, and Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning, SSOP 2022 represents the longest-running event organized by ECP and serves as the official meeting place for South Sudan\u2019s oil, gas and power industries, uniting regional leaders, international financiers and national companies.<\/p>\n<p>Hon. Minister Chol has played a pivotal role in the recent growth of South Sudan\u2019s hydrocarbons sector, launching the country\u2019s first licensing round in June 2021 and renewing engagement with leading International Oil Companies, including China National Petroleum Corporation, Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, Petronas and Nile Petroleum Corporation, among others, in an effort to drive exploration of South Sudan\u2019s oil and gas acreage, of which 90% remains untapped.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are very excited to confirm Hon. Puot Kang Chol to this year\u2019s event. South Sudan\u2019s impressive energy developments, backed by the Ministry of Petroleum, invite a new era of stability and growth in which ECP is proud to be a part of,\u201d says James Chester, ECP Senior Director.<\/p>\n<p>Hon.
