{"id":5922,"date":"2015-10-06T08:49:50","date_gmt":"2015-10-06T06:49:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/southafricatoday.net\/africa-news\/?p=5922"},"modified":"2015-10-06T08:49:50","modified_gmt":"2015-10-06T06:49:50","slug":"mugabes-ingenious-solution-to-the-zimbabwe-electricity-crisis","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/southafricatoday.net\/africa-news\/southern-africa\/zimbabwe\/mugabes-ingenious-solution-to-the-zimbabwe-electricity-crisis\/","title":{"rendered":"Mugabe&#8217;s &#8216;ingenious&#8217; solution to the Zimbabwe electricity crisis"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I\u2019m afraid I\u2019m simply not clever enough to understand how the African though process works.<\/p>\n<p>Up across the border from here in Zimbabwe, they have an even bigger energy crisis than what we are faced with \u2013 most people have electricity for no more than 5 hours per day.<\/p>\n<p>Now uncle Bob cooks up a new solution: He says companies should work only at night time when there is more electricity than in daytime.<\/p>\n<p>So, let me get my head around this: Employees are supposed to go to work during daytime when the workplace is closed because they are not supposed to use electricity.<\/p>\n<p>And when the employees go home to sleep, and not use electricity, the workplace should open for the night because there is enough electricity then.<\/p>\n<p>Thus: The employee is at work, but the workplace is closed, and when the employee goes home, the workplace opens.<\/p>\n<p>Yep, that\u2019s the solution uncle Bob \u2013 why didn\u2019t we think of that down here in SA?
